Willard Jay Guymon was born 20 September 1921 in Blanding, San Juan, Utah to Anna Eleanor Jamison and Willard Morley Guymon. He served in the Marine Corps, was wounded in World War Two and received the Purple Heart. He also served an LDS mission to Louisiana and Texas. He was hired onto the Forest Service in Blanding, Utah straight out of his military service ...
